DE LEON GUERRERO, NICOLAS
In an entry dated June 1, 1860, an account is written that a Nicolas de Leon Guerrero, skippering his own boat from Inarajan, was "drowned off Maneno Point, between Merizo and Inarajan."
The same account goes on to say: "It was impossible to rescue him because the vessel was under full sail and at a considerable distance from shore. By the time the crew changed tack, lowered the sail, and turned back to pick him up, he had disappeared. He has not been seen since."
