ADA, MANUEL
In an entry dated March 10, 1857, an account is written that "... the cabin boy Manuel Ada stabbed his captain, a whaler named Cleveland. He stabbed him on the left side and on the hand; within a few days the captain's wounds were healed. This happened because the cabin boy was drunk, and the captain had ordered him to return to the ship."
